DTN Early Word Grains 02/23 05:47 Grain Markets Higher Friday Morning After More New Lows in Corn, Soybeans March corn is up 3 1/4 cents per bushel, March soybeans are up 1 1/2 cents, May KC wheat is up 2 3/4 cents, May Chicago wheat is up 7 3/4 cents and May Minneapolis wheat is up 4 1/2 cents. Kent Beadle, DTN Contributing Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: March corn is up 3 1/4 cents per bushel, March soybeans are up 1 1/2 cents, May KC wheat is up 2 3/4 cents, May Chicago wheat is up 7 3/4 cents and May Minneapolis wheat is up 4 1/2 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: World equity markets are mixed Friday morning after Thursday's monster rally in stocks pushed both the Dow and the S&P 500 to new highs. The rally was led by Nvidia which was up over 13%, and this helped the NASDAQ approach new highs as well. Higher interest rates had kept tech stocks from moving to new highs, but the results for Nvidia that are being driven by AI are what drove the rally on Thursday. The results from Thursday's new economic data were mixed, with the services PMI below expectations but the manufacturing PMI stronger than expected. Existing home sales were slightly higher than traders anticipated, while jobless claims were lower. All in all, the data suggested a good but not great economy. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Thursday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 456.87 at 39,069.11 and the S&P 500 up 105.23 at 5,087.03, The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 4.33%. Early Friday, the March Dow Jones Futures are up 31 points. European markets are mixed with the spot futures of London's FTSE 100 trading down 0.1%, spot futures of Germany's DAX is trading down 0.02% and the spot futures of France's CAC 40 Index up 0.44%. Asian markets are higher with Japan's Nikkei 225 Index up 2.19% and China's Shanghai Composite Index up 0.55%.
