DTN Early Word Grains 04/03 05:48 Grain Markets Mixed Wednesday After Poor Start to Week May corn is up 1 1/4 cents per bushel, May soybeans are down 1 1/4 cents, May KC wheat is up 4 cents, May Chicago wheat is up 2 1/2 cents and May Minneapolis wheat is up 2 3/4 cents. Kent Beadle, DTN Contributing Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: May corn is up 1 1/4 cents per bushel, May soybeans are down 1 1/4 cents, May KC wheat is up 4 cents, May Chicago wheat is up 2 1/2 cents and May Minneapolis wheat is up 2 3/4 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: World equity markets are mixed Wednesday morning while U.S. markets are now on a losing streak and are lower again this morning. Interest rates as measured by the 10-year note having moved back up to 4.36%, as there has been enough strong data to make traders wary of a Fed rate cut coming very soon. The higher rate has pressured stocks the past two sessions. Tuesday, the factory orders report was stronger than expected, up 1.4%. Job openings were in line with traders estimates at 8.8 million jobs. This morning, we will get the ADP employment number and the ISM services PMI. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous close Tuesday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average down 396.61 at 39,170.24 and the S&P 500 down 37.96 at 5,205.81, The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 4.37%. Early Wednesday, the June Dow Jones Futures are down 30 points. European markets are mixed with the spot futures of London's FTSE 100 trading down 0.39%, spot futures of Germany's DAX is trading up 0.2% and the spot futures of France's CAC 40 Index up 0.23%. Asian markets are lower with Japan's Nikkei 225 Index down 0.97% and China's Shanghai Composite Index down 0.18%.
