DTN Early Word Grains 06/27 06:02 Grain Markets Mixed Thursday With Wheat, Beans Higher on Bottom-Picking July corn is down 1 1/2 cents per bushel, November soybeans are up 1 1/4 cents, September KC wheat is down 3 cents, September Chicago wheat is up 2 3/4 cents and September Minneapolis wheat is up 1 1/2 cents. Kent Beadle, DTN Contributing Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: July corn is down 1 1/2 cents per bushel, November soybeans are up 1 1/4 cents, September KC wheat is down 3 cents, September Chicago wheat is up 2 3/4 cents and September Minneapolis wheat is up 1 1/2 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: World equity markets are lower and are being pressured by Wednesday's jump in interest rates. There doesn't seem to be anything specific that drove rates higher yesterday, but some analysts believe that higher for longer will extend much longer than traders have believed and that sentiment was in the marketplace Wednesday. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous close Wednesday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 15.64 at 39,127.80 and the S&P 500 up 8.60 at 5,477.90; The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 4.32%. Early Thursday, the September Dow Jones Futures are down 60 points. European markets are lower with the spot futures of London's FTSE 100 trading down 0.33%, spot futures of Germany's DAX are trading down 0.08% and the spot futures of France's CAC 40 Index down 0.58%. Asian markets are lower with Japan's Nikkei 225 Index down 0.82% and China's Shanghai Composite Index down 0.9%.
