DTN Early Word Grains 07/01 05:45 US Crop Prices Mixed Monday as Second Half of 2024 Begins December corn was down 2 cents, November soybeans were down 1 cent and September KC wheat was down 2 cents. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: December corn was down 2 cents, November soybeans were down 1 cent and September KC wheat was down 2 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: Early Monday, manufacturing indices are coming in from around the globe and show further expansion in India and China in June, along with several Asian nations, while the European Union fell deeper into contraction. USDA's report of weekly export inspections is at 10 a.m. CDT Monday, followed by NASS's Fats and Oils report at 2 p.m. and the weekly Crop Progress report at 3 p.m. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Friday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average down 45.20 at 39,118.86 and the S&P 500 Index down 22.39 at 5,460.48. The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 4.34%. Early Monday, September Dow Jones futures are up 75 points. European markets are higher with the spot futures of the London FTSE 100 trading up 0.15%, spot futures of Germany's DAX trading up 0.22% and spot futures of France's CAC Index trading up 1.23%. Asian markets are also higher with Japan's Nikkei 225 index up 0.12% and China's Shanghai Composite Index up 0.92%.
