DTN Closing Grain Comments 07/02 13:45 Soybean Oil Extends Gains to Finish Higher Five Straight Days; Wheat Retreats Following Monday's Rally In quiet trade, soybean oil jumped higher again for the fifth consecutive day, bringing soybeans up with it. Corn was firm, but quiet for much of the day, with December falling close to unchanged late, while the wheat markets retreated on rapid harvest progress and good spring wheat ratings. Dana Mantini Senior Market Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: December corn finished up 3/4 cent per bushel, November soybeans were up 2 cents per bushel at the close. September KC wheat closed down 7 1/4 cents per bushel, September Chicago wheat closed down 9 1/4 cents per bushel and September Minneapolis wheat was down 2 1/2 cents.
