DTN Early Word Grains 07/05 05:48 Outside Markets Quiet Early Friday, Trading in Grains Resumes At 8:30 a.m. CDT Wednesday's Globex closes: December corn was down 2 1/4 cents, November soybeans were up 9 1/2 cents and September KC wheat was down 8 3/4 cents. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst WEDNESDAYS GLOBEX CLOSES: December corn was down 2 1/4 cents, November soybeans were up 9 1/2 cents and September KC wheat was down 8 3/4 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: USDA's weekly export sales report is due out at 7:30 a.m. CDT Friday, the same time as employment data from the U.S. Labor Department. One day after the Independence Day holiday, U.S. grain and livestock futures will resume trading at 8:30 a.m. CDT and will trade until their normal closing times. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Wednesday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average down 23.85 at 39,308.00 and the S&P 500 Index up 28.01 at 5,537.02. The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 4.36%. Early Friday, September Dow Jones futures are up 3 points. European markets are higher with the spot futures of the London FTSE 100 trading up 0.33%, spot futures of Germany's DAX trading up 0.94% and spot futures of France's CAC Index trading up 0.45%. Asian markets are mostly lower with Japan's Nikkei 225 index down 0.00% and China's Shanghai Composite Index down 0.26%.
