DTN Closing Grain Comments 07/08 14:09 US Crop Prices Tumble as Traders Respond to Rain in Forecast December corn fell 16 1/4 cents and November soybeans closed down 30 1/4 cents, both contracts posting their lowest closes to date in 2024 on heavier volume as Tropical Storm Beryl is expected to bring rain to the eastern Midwest this week. September contracts of all three U.S. wheat prices finished with double-digit losses, influenced by a 3.1% drop in French milling wheat. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: September corn closed down 17 1/4 cents and December corn was down 16 1/4 cents. August soybeans closed down 17 1/4 cents and November soybeans were down 30 1/4 cents. September KC wheat closed down 21 3/4 cents, September Chicago wheat was down 20 cents and September Minneapolis wheat was down 15 3/4 cents.
