DTN Closing Grain Comments 07/18 13:48 Corn Price Slump Continues, Spring Wheat Gains on Dry Forecast December corn closed down 6 3/4 cents, pressured by more spec selling, even though the demand for corn remains highly active at these cheap prices. September Minneapolis wheat closed up 8 3/4 cents and November canola was up C$18.20 as both crops are threatened by a hot a dry forecast for much of the northwestern U.S. Plains and Canadian Prairies. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: September corn closed down 6 3/4 cents and December corn was down 6 3/4 cents. August soybeans closed up 1 1/4 cents and November soybeans were up 2 cents. September KC wheat closed up 1 3/4 cents, September Chicago wheat was down 4 cents and September Minneapolis wheat was up 8 3/4 cents.
