DTN Early Word Grains 08/15 05:54 Grain Markets Mostly Higher, Soybeans Trying to Rebound From New Contract Lows December corn is up 1 cent per bushel, November soybeans are up 5 3/4 cents, September KC wheat is up 7 1/4 cents, September Chicago wheat is up 6 cents and September Minneapolis wheat is up 7 1/4 cents. Kent Beadle, DTN Contributing Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: December corn is up 1 cent per bushel, November soybeans are up 5 3/4 cents, September KC wheat is up 7 1/4 cents, September Chicago wheat is up 6 cents and September Minneapolis wheat is up 7 1/4 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: World equity markets are mostly higher Thursday morning as Wednesday's CPI numbers seemed to confirm the PPI numbers from Tuesday. The CPI was below 3% for the first time since 2021 and seems to help confirm that the Fed will lower interest rates at their September meeting. The debate for the market is whether that cut will be a quarter point or a half point. The lower interest rates are generally considered bullish for equity prices. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Wednesday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 242.75 at 40,008.39 and the S&P 500 up 20.78 at 5,455.21. The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 3.82%. Early Thursday, the September Dow Jones Futures are up 87 points. European markets are mixedwer with the spot futures of London's FTSE 100 trading up 0.37%, spot futures of Germany's DAX is trading up 0.35% and the spot futures of France's CAC 40 Index down 0.05%. Asian markets are higher with Japan's Nikkei 225 Index up 0.78% and China's Shanghai Composite Index up 0.94%.
