DTN Closing Grain Comments 08/16 16:13 Row-Crop Prices Continue Their Downward Slide Friday The downward slide in row-crop prices continued Friday with December corn down 4 1/2 cents and November soybeans down 11 1/2 cents, both reaching their lowest closes this year. September contracts of the three U.S. wheats traded lower early but ended with modest gains on the day after spring wheat crops received unwelcome rains this week. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: September corn closed down 4 1/2 cents and December corn was down 4 1/2 cents. September soybeans closed down 12 3/4 cents and November soybeans were down 11 1/2 cents. September KC wheat closed up 2 3/4 cents, September Chicago wheat was up 1 3/4 cents and September Minneapolis wheat was up 7 cents.
